Crown Rebuild & New Cap
A real job, photographed as we worked. Nothing staged and nothing borrowed.
BEFOREAFTER
What we found, and what we did
What we found
The original builder's crown had cracked through and was shedding concrete onto the roof. There was no overhang and no drip edge, so every rainfall ran straight down the brick.
What we did
Old crown removed and a new one formed with a proper slope, an overhang past the brick and a cast drip edge, finished with a new stainless cap.
Why it mattered
Most builder crowns are a thin skim of mortar with none of those features. Rebuilding one properly is the difference between a crown that lasts decades and one that fails in a few winters.
Every job we do is photographed the same way, whether we find a problem or not. You get the pictures either way.
