How often does a wood stove need sweeping?
At least once a year, and more often if you burn several cords. Stoves produce creosote faster than open fireplaces because they burn cooler and longer.
Why does my glass go black?
Usually wet wood, a failed door gasket, or poor draft. We check all three.
Can you replace the gaskets and firebrick?
Yes, both are routine service items we carry.
