What we found
Hazy glass, dust and pet hair through the burner assembly, and a pilot that had become unreliable. It had not been serviced in years.
What we did
Full strip and clean of the burner and pilot assembly, glass cleaned inside and out, logs repositioned to the manufacturer's layout, blower serviced and a gas connection and CO safety check.
Why it mattered
Most gas fireplaces that 'stop working' are not broken. They are dirty. This one runs like new and the annual service keeps the warranty valid.
